    My roots go deep into the Vancouver Island soil. My family immigrated to Lantzville in the 1880’s and I was born in the “Old Hospital” on Machleary Street in Nanaimo in the 1960’s. The changes the area has undergone are countless, but the importance of the values my grandparents had of trust, integrity and hard-work remained.
